Established in 2022, Hodder & Co. Limited is a healthcare provider specialising in behavioural psychology and analysis services for a wide range of presenting needs and difficulties.

 

Focusing on ensuring high quality assessment, formulation and intervention services as well as adhering to the strict code of conduct and ethics of both the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis, Professional Standards Authority and the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board, Hodder & Co. Limited strives to ensure improvements in an individual's quality of life and wellbeing. 

 

Matthew Hodder

BSc (Hons), MSc, PgDip, MBPsS, BCBA, UKBA(cert)

Matthew has worked in Behavioural Psychology and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for over 10 years and is accredited as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst with the BACB and a UK Certified Behaviour Analyst with the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis, regulated by the Professional Standards Authority. He has worked in a range of clinical settings, including private healthcare, NHS inpatient and community services and charitable organisations.

Matthew has spent his career working with adults and children with intellectual disabilities, severe challenging behaviour, forensic behaviour, psychological trauma, and a range of mental health conditions. With experience of managing services, direct support work and clinical practice, Matthew strives to apply a person-centred approach to his practice, with a focus on enabling people to maximise their quality of life and have the confidence to manage challenging behaviour safely and effectively.

 

Matthew provides all elements of behavioural psychology and analysis from assessment to intervention as well as specialist assessments, formulations, and reports for a wide range of purposes. Matthew has published research in peer reviewed academic journals and continues to conduct research to improve practice in this field. He is currently completing a PhD at Bristol University developing revised diagnostic autism assessments for individuals who miss diagnosis or are misdiagnosed due to presenting with camouflaging behaviours or ‘atypical’ features of autism.

Julie Lancaster

BSc (Hons), PgCert, UKSBA Practising Member

Julie has worked with children and young people for over 9 years and in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for almost 4 years. Julie has personal experience too, as her son was registered partially sighted and had his own additional needs. Julie studied Psychology and Counselling in Community Settings and has completed PBS BTEC Courses. 

 

Julie began working as a support worker and has progressed from PBS Practitioner to a Senior Practitioner, and now leads PBS services. Julie has a wide range of experience including Autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, acquired brain injury and other support areas both physical and emotional. 

 

Julie always works with a holistic approach, looking at the person as a whole and striving to increase independence, life skills and overall improvement in the persons quality of life. Julie’s main passion is opening up the world for the people she supports, to allow them to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. With an experience of managing services, staff teams, direct work, assessments and intervention, Julie has a wide range of expertise.   

 

Julie is able to complete direct observations, behavioural assessments, formulation of bespoke strategies to support with behavioural challenges. Alongside this Julie has written comprehensive reports, provided both clinical and managerial supervision and has a wide range of experience with recording and monitoring systems.
